Bean War – Privacy policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Bean War is a game made for children. We built it so that it does not need, ask for, or keep any personal information.

What we do not collect

No names, email addresses, phone numbers, photos, contacts, location or device identifiers for advertising. There are no accounts, no chat, no ads, no analytics and no tracking tools in the game.

Player names

Each player gets a made-up name from a fixed list of friendly words (for example "Brave Bean 42"). Players cannot type their own name. The name is shown to the other players in the same match and is forgotten when the match room closes.

Playing online

To play online, the device connects to our game server (run on Cloudflare). The connection, including the internet (IP) address, is used only to run the match while it is being played. We do not store it, and we do not use it to identify anyone. Players can only communicate through four fixed emotes (wave, good game, shield bang, thumbs up).

On the device

The game keeps its settings (sound, screen shake, controls, graphics and the made-up name) on the device itself. They never leave the device except the made-up name, as described above.

Purchases

Bean War has no in-app purchases and no ads.

Children's privacy

Because we do not collect personal information, there is nothing for us to store, share or sell. This applies to children everywhere, including under COPPA (United States) and the GDPR (European Union, EEA and Norway).
